Execution Plan Upon receipt of a fully executed Purchase Order, a Project Manager and Project Engineer will be assigned. They will work with our production and quality team to create a manufacturing schedule and test plan that will then be submitted to you as part of the overall implementation plan. Reports will be submitted by e-mail and will contain an up-to-date manufacturing schedule and any additional information necessary. Additional non-standard reports are available. Alert the Project Manager to any additional reporting requirements in advance.

SPX Heat Transfer LLC Quality Assurance Program Our Quality Assurance activities start at the proposal stage and continue through manufacturing and delivery. On receipt of a fully executed purchase order: 

Engineering analyzes the requirements and translates them into a mechanical design with detailed drawings.

Purchasing procures material from our Approved Supplier portfolio.

Quality Assurance develops procedures for non-destructive examination or inspection.

Welding Engineering prepares and qualifies welding procedures for the project.

Planning establishes a manufacturing and inspection schedule.

When it is appropriate, Quality Assurance prepares a detailed inspection and test plan.

Quality Assurance prepares shop travelers for fabrication and testing activities which are used to log all inspection and verification activities required by SPX Heat Transfer, the Authorized Inspector, or the Customer. This becomes a Quality Record.

Material is received and inspected and the supporting certified material test reports are reviewed and accepted. The material is then released for manufacture.

Fabrication progresses in accordance with the shop drawings and established procedures.

All inspection and non-destructive testing is performed by qualified inspectors. Formal inspection reports are prepared and maintained as a Quality Record.

Completed vessels are hydrostatically tested using demineralized water in the presence of the Authorized Inspector. The ASME Code plate is applied. The heat exchanger is then prepared for shipment.

All nozzles will be provided with protective covers during shipment.

Units will be shipped with positive nitrogen pressure.
