-OR-

b. From your home Internet, type http://bidshift.sharp.com in the Address line and click on GO!

2. To bid on available shifts, log in to BidShift using your pre-assigned username and password.

3. Click on "View Open Shifts" to see a list of all available shifts.

4. Each shift listed has a position, hospital, level of care, shift date and time, number of requests or bids, wage rate information, and bidding end date.

5. Clicking on an individual item allows you to see more detail into the particular shift including the unit location.

6. To request a shift, simply enter a Bid Amount and click the "Bid on this Shift" button. Bidding is done in .25-cent increments.

7. If another user outbids you, you will be notified immediately via email. If you do not have e-mail, you will need to monitor the bidding process via the website using the "View My Shifts" button. 8. If your bid is ACCEPTED, a confirmation email will be sent to you. To view your awarded shifts click on the "View Shifts Awarded" button. 9. Once you accept a shift you are considered scheduled and all current policies and procedures including but not limited to: attendance, floating, and cancellation apply. Note: You may retract a bid at any time prior to the shift being awarded to you by clicking the "Retract my Request" button located on the bidding page. 10.Complete your timecard using the Pay code “BS” and the appropriate Override Cost Center and BidShift™ rate. Specific information will be included in the confirmation e-mail. For overtime shifts use the pay code BSOT. For double-time shifts worked use the pay code BSDT. 11.If your password does not work or you are unable to access BidShift, contact the Helpdesk @ 858-627-5000 or E-mail "Helpdesk". 12.If you have questions regarding bidding, eligibility and rules of BidShift, click on the FAQ, Rules or About BidShift items located at the bottom of the page, or contact your manager. General Rules: 1. In order to use BidShift, you must be an active Sharp HealthCare employee. 2. BidShift does not supercede any current Sharp HealthCare policies or procedures, including but not limited to attendance, cancellation, floating. 3. Once you have received your login and password, you may request shifts by logging into the BidShift System. 4. If the shift is a "fixed rate" shift, you can request it by clicking the "Request this Shift" button. A fixed rate shift pays your base wage rate, plus any premiums that may be applicable. If the shift is a "variable rate" shift, you can request it by clicking on the "Bid on this Shift" button. A variable rate shift is a reverse auction and you will be paid the amount you bid if you win the auction. 5. If you change your mind, you can retract your request (or bid) as long as the shift is still open. 6. If your requested shift is ACCEPTED, you will be notified via email or phone call from Staffing Resource Network. Shifts will be awarded no later than 24 hours before the beginning of the shift. 7. Once the shift is closed to requests, it is removed from BidShift as an available shift. 8. Once you accept a shift, you are considered scheduled for that shift and all current Sharp HealthCare policies and procedures apply, including but not limited to attendance, cancellation and floating. 9. You are expected to work all scheduled unit and BidShift hours. 10.You can signup for any shift you qualify for as long as the shift doesn't conflict with your regularly scheduled unit shifts. You must resolve scheduling conflicts with the unit manager and Staffing Resource Network. Scheduling conflicts may cause you to lose the BidShift shift. 11.If you bid on a shift, your bid must be greater than or equal to your base wage rate. You cannot be paid lower than your base pay. 12.If, by signing up for a shift, you expect to run into overtime, you must check the checkbox at the bottom of the shift detail page that indicates this. Note: If you work a BidShift shift which puts you into an overtime status you will be paid at either the awarded BidShift rate or time and one-half your regular rate of pay, whichever is greater. BidShift shifts which put you into a double-time situation will be paid at either the awarded BidShift rate or twice your regular rate of pay, whichever is greater.

13.Overtime shifts are determined in the order that the shifts were booked, not worked. 14.You are eligible to sign up for extra shifts if you have pre-approved scheduled PTO in the pay period or four-week posted schedule. Jury duty, bereavement, mandatory education and LCDs are also acceptable. Unscheduled time off such as ESI would make you ineligible for the BidShift rate. 15.If you are awarded a shift and you have any questions, contact Staffing Resource Network at 858-499-5364. The contact information for the shift will also appear on the shift detail page. 16.You may not trade your BidShift shift with anyone else. If you cannot work the scheduled BidShift shift, contact Staffing Resource Network at 858-499-5364. Note: all attendance and cancellation policies apply to BidShift shifts. 17.Use BidShift responsibly. This tool is designed to benefit you and the hospital. Misuse of the system can result in deactivation of your account.
