Workshop agenda Each workshop in this series aims to address one or more of the four skills in a way which is tangible and relevant to the increasing professional demands you have. CPE Hours: 3

Workshop 1: Understanding your style

3

Interpersonal

4

Confidence

The goal of this session is to enable participants to understand and appreciate the differences in behavioural styles and the impact of those differences on how we approach our work and our relationships. Through an understanding of behavioural styles, participants learn to identify the work priorities and preferences of themselves and others so that they can recognise differences and build effective relationships. This session will also focus on resilience – moving forward in times of adversity and adapting to change in challenging situations, whilst maintaining a positive mind-set.

CPE Hours: 3

Workshop 2: Influencing styles

2

Verbal

Interpersonal

4

Confidence

This session will help participants understand their own personal power model and their natural way of influencing others. They will learn about themselves but also understand how to make necessary shifts when dealing with different people and different situations. It will also introduce participants to ‘push’ and ‘pull’ personality types, both of which have traits which can be used to influence others. Participants will complete a self-exploration questionnaire in order to identify their strengths and development points, and will also have the opportunity to role play the personality trait which is the most out of their comfort zone. During the session participants understand the role of ‘words’, ‘music’ and ‘dance’ to ensure effective interactions.

Workshop 3: Running effective meetings and conducting exploratory interviews

Meetings can be enormously resourceful events or they can be a drain on time, energy and motivation. Participants will learn how to stand out during meetings and how to improve their success in meetings. Exploratory interviews are a common occurrence for any professional. This session will focus on tips to conduct these in a way, which will give you the best results from both a work and an interpersonal perspective.

CPE Hours: 6

Workshop 4: Practising presentation skills

2

Verbal

4

Confidence

This session aims at coaching participants to overcome presentation fears, distinguish themselves from other speakers and deliver with real impact. Too often we have been trapped in presentations that were painfully long, overly serious or disorganised. During this session participants will learn to see the subject from the audience’s perspective and structure content for clarity and memory retention. It is relevant to professionals at all levels, in particular to those individuals whose role includes preparing and delivering presentations regularly to clients and/or colleagues. Participants will also be coached on the visual aspects of their presentations such as the data they are presenting and use of tables and charts.
