Christmas Day • December 25, 2017 Celebrant: As we celebrate the birth of Jesus we rejoice in the goodness of God. With trust we present these needs to our Father in heaven. Deacon/Lector: That the Church may joyfully proclaim the birth of our Savior and transform the world through word and deed, we pray to the Lord… That all those who are away from their loved ones today, may be filled with Christmas peace and joy, we pray to the Lord... That all families may welcome the Christ-child into their homes and experience His blessings and peace, we pray to the Lord… That the sick, the lonely, and the depressed may find strength and hope in the love that God has for his wounded children, we pray to the Lord… That those who grieve for their departed loved ones may be consoled by the promise and joy of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray to the Lord… Celebrant: Father, we praise you with joy for having sent your Son into the world. Give us grace to be faithful to the Gospel we profess. Through Christ our Lord.

That governments may protect the institution of marriage, made by God as the union between one man and one woman, we pray to the Lord... That the family may become ever more the sanctuary of life, where all are welcomed as a gift rather than a burden, we pray to the Lord... That families burdened by divorce, abuse, or alienation may seek and find the help of the Holy Family, we pray to the Lord... That our family members who are ill may enjoy the consolation of the Lord and the presence of their loved ones, we pray to the Lord... That our family members who have died may be welcomed into eternal life, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, we thank you for the gift of life and family. That the sick may discover in their sufferings a manifestation of the Passion of Christ, we pray to the Lord... That those who have died may share eternal glory, we pray to the Lord...
